News, commentary, and other items of interest from the greater Wyoming landscape.
Here are a couple news items of interest from around the state of Wyoming during the week of October 8th, 2023:
Sad news out of Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) on Columbus Day. One of GTNP’s celebrity grizzly bears, 610 (daughter of 399), was apparently struck by a vehicle. While there haven’t been too many news updates on her condition since, it would seem that after lying by the side of the road for a number of hours the bear was finally able to get up and walk away with her three cubs of the year in tow. You can read more about this incident here.

She later was able to get up and rejoin her three cubs of the year. County Treasurer Jerry Greenfield provided the following summary of tax dollar distributions as of Fall 2023.
Last but not least—yup, it’s hunting season here in Wyoming.
Have a good week ya’ll!
