A fairly light week here at Star Valley Ranch—here’s a summary of events:
Monday, December 4th at 1pm the Town of Star Valley Ranch (TSVR) Water Utility Board met at Town Hall. The meeting agenda is posted here.
Tuesday, December 5th at 5pm the TSVR Roads Advisory Board met at Town Hall. You can find the meeting agenda here and the November 7th meeting minutes are available here.
Saturday, December 9th, the Star Valley Ranch Association (SVRA) held their annual Santa on the Ranch event at the Cedar Creek Center. I was unfortunately unable to attend, however, my understanding is that Santa and Mrs. Claus did make an appearance and the event was a rousing success! Thank you SVRA for hosting this holiday extravaganza!
A few odds and ends for the past week:
The SVRA has a vacancy on their Board of Directors. Find out more at this link and if interested please consider applying.
The TSVR Trail Crew continues to keep our local trails open for snowshoeing. Check out the beautiful photos below from their most recent efforts and you can also keep up with all the Trail Crew happenings by visiting their Facebook page.

Around the 307
Here are a few highlights from my latest Around the 307 post covering news items across the Cowboy State:
It was a rough week for buck deer around Wyoming with one water rescue and a few bucks with perhaps a bit too much holiday spirit.
The Wyoming Department of Transportation will receive a $24.3 million dollar federal grant to complete a wildlife crossings project on Highway 189 south of Kemmerer.
It’s the end of an era for the University of Wyoming Cowboys football team who after a decade will have a new head coach next season.
Read all of the above stories and more in this week’s Around the 307 post.
Finally, I added a new section to the Close to Home 307 website called 307 Video. While the handful of videos I’ve created over the years are also available on my Out West @ Elysium YouTube channel, I decided to start adding them here to Substack; the bonus for viewers being—no advertisements! If you haven’t watched “The Spruce Moose” yet—give it a look and I hope you enjoy!
